Gold Rush Bash - November 10, 2018

Adding to the fun of Sonora’s 2nd Saturday activities on November 10th, the Sonora Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Gold Rush Bash at the Sonora Opera Hall.
This event celebrates Sonora’s rich gold rush history, dating back to 1848 when gold was discovered at what is now Woods Creek. Within only a few weeks of that discovery, thousands of gold miners and the merchants supporting them, had established camps in Tuolumne County.
The Gold Rush Bash is free of charge and will feature the fantastic Black Irish Band. The Gold Rush Bash is free of charge and will feature the fantastic Black Irish Band. Hailing from the historic Gold Rush Town of Sonora, California, the five member Black Irish Band has a musical style that is as timeless as the rugged landscape of the west. When you take Irish, Scottish, Spanish, and Italian Music, and mix it up, you get the true nature of the Black Irish Band. For 30 years, and with over 600 worldwide performances, this band has created an original sound, selling over 200,000 albums
In addition to great music and dancing, the event will feature the fabulous docents from Columbia State Historic Park in period dress, fun memorabilia provided by the Tuolumne County Historical Society, food, a no-host bar, a costume contest and a few surprises!!
Join the fun at the Sonora Opera Hall on Saturday November 10th. Doors open at 6pm and the concert starts at 7:30. Admission is free.
