What do you think are the prospects for a bookbinder to make a living in your region? I restore old books and do custom projects such as handmade golf books,, wedding and photo albums, blank books, artisan blank note cards and other high end gift products.
My partner runs a store that specializes in folk instruments and lessons.
Is there a town that you recommend?
Artisans can frequently create their own niche. I would include the region of the Sierra Foothills Sonora south to Groveland, east to Twain Harte and North as far as Murphys, and Jackson. The Gold Country. However, with instruments and a specialty as yours, even further North to Grass Valley and Nevada City might worth looking it.
